In a recent interview, Önder Honi reflected on Innova Bedding’s rapid growth, global strategy, and vision for the future of sleep technology.
Q: Inno Components has expanded its global footprint remarkably fast. How are your international partnerships structured today?
Önder Honi: Our network has grown exponentially. Inno Components represents the Canadian firm Vista Medical across 25 countries, and we manage the regional distribution for Enkev, a renowned firm from the Netherlands, across 21 countries.
Beyond specific representations, we act as a two-way trade bridge: we supply mattress materials, components, and accessories from Turkey to the global market, and import world-class innovations directly into Turkey. The name ‘Innova’ stems directly from innovation—it is the core pillar of everything we build.
Q: Where do you see the next major evolution in the mattress industry?
Önder Honi: The future of this industry belongs to the digital ecosystem. That is why we are heavily investing in digital systems and targeted digital marketing tailored specifically for the sleep sector. Traditional manufacturing must align with modern digital capabilities to scale.
Q: Beyond supplying materials, you also consult for manufacturers looking to expand. What does that process look like?
Önder Honi: We offer strategic consulting to help domestic producers transition into competitive international players. We help shift their business mindset to align with global trade standards, while completely revitalizing their product designs and marketing strategies through brand-new, modern approaches.
Q: How extensive is the procurement and operational network you’ve built?
Önder Honi: Global networking is at the heart of our operations. Whether a business is searching for specialized machinery, top-tier talent, raw materials, or industrial design, our global network can source virtually anything. On the component side alone, we offer nearly 100 distinct mattress components for global manufacturers.
Q: What specific material innovations are you currently bringing to market?
Önder Honi: Thanks to our extensive product network, we supply advanced material properties—from the natural breathability of cotton and thermal balance of wool, to the incredible comfort of natural horsehair and the antibacterial properties of coconut fiber (coco pads). We also supply high-airflow 3D Mesh Fabrics, ergonomic pillows, and advanced cooling gel products designed to optimize microclimate comfort on the bed.
